RTW Designer

SAME is a luxury fashion brand known for its fashion-forward swimwear and elevated ready-to-wear collections. We are seeking an experienced Women's Ready-to-Wear Designer to join our growing team in Los Angeles. This role will work closely with leadership to concept, design, and develop seasonal collections that reflect the brand's distinctive point of view while balancing creativity, commerciality, and technical excellence.

• Collaborate with the team to conceptualize and develop seasonal ready-to-wear collections from initial inspiration through final production.
• Research fashion trends, market opportunities, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to inform design direction.
• Create mood boards, sketches, color stories, and design concepts aligned with the SAME brand aesthetic.
• Develop detailed technical flats, garment specifications, and comprehensive tech packs for production.
• Partner with pattern makers, sample makers, and production teams throughout development, fittings, and revisions.
• Source fabrics, trims, and materials with consideration for quality, cost, functionality, and availability.
• Maintain an organized library of fabrics, trims, and development samples.
• Oversee fit sessions and provide clear feedback to ensure exceptional fit, construction, and quality standards.
• Communicate regularly with factories, suppliers, and manufacturers to support development timelines and production execution.
• Review and approve development samples, pre-production samples, and production quality standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, marketing, and sales teams to support product launches, presentations, and seasonal storytelling.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining budget objectives.

• 5 years of experience in women's apparel design, preferably within contemporary or luxury fashion.
• Strong understanding of apparel construction, patternmaking, garment development, fit, fabrics, and manufacturing processes.
• Proven experience creating detailed technical flats, specifications, and production-ready tech packs.
• Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and project management skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for luxury fashion, craftsmanship, and product excellence.

• Must be based in Los Angeles.
• Office is located in Santa Monica.
• Team works on-site Monday through Friday.
• Some domestic and international travel may be required.
