Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems according to schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design specifications, ensuring precise placement and secure connections.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC equipment, refrigeration units, boilers, plumbing systems, and appliances to optimize performance.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to facilitate accurate installations and repairs.
- Conduct field service visits to diagnose issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment; repair or replace faulty components efficiently.
- Utilize welding techniques when necessary for ductwork fabrication or equipment repair; ensure all work complies with safety regulations.
- Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and maintenance logs for each job performed.
- Operate a
driver vehicle safely for transportation of tools, parts, and equipment to job sites across various locations.
Skills
- Extensive experience in construction-related HVAC installation projects with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Proven service technician experience with proficiency in appliance repair, property maintenance, air conditioning systems, and refrigeration units including ammonia refrigeration.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and apply HVAC design principles effectively during installation and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC applications; familiarity with boiler operation and maintenance.
- Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing; capable of performing equipment repair with precision.
- Experience with welding techniques for ductwork or component fabrication; strong mechanical aptitude for handling complex equipment repairs.
