About the Role:
As a Delivery Driver at ShopRite of Montgomery, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive their orders in a timely and efficient manner. Your primary responsibility will be to transport goods from our store to various locations, adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy items, as you will be handling various products throughout your shifts. Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, up to 50 pounds.
- Experience driving box trucks or tractor trailers.
- Must be 21 years of age
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a delivery or logistics role.
- Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns.
- Customer service experience.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload products from the delivery vehicle, ensuring safe handling and proper storage.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at each destination.
- Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates on delivery status and address any concerns.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the delivery vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
