Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, providing excellent service and addressing their needs with enthusiasm
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions swiftly and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
- Assist customers with product demos, upselling opportunities, and answering questions about merchandise
- Maintain organized merchandising displays, stock shelves, and ensure the store is clean and inviting
- Conduct product demos when necessary to highlight features and benefits to customers
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or via other communication channels
- Support inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and inventory checks
- Apply basic math skills for cash handling, balancing registers, and calculating totals or discounts
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures required
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Experience in supervising or leading team members is a plus but not mandatory
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
- Ability to stand for extended periods while maintaining energy and focus
- Basic math proficiency for handling cash transactions confidently
- Prior experience with merchandising, stocking, or product demos is desirable
