What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Manager Intern position at Sambar to Sukka?
About us
Sambar to Sukka is a authentic South Indian and Chettinad restaurant in Alpharetta. We're looking for a content creator who can capture the food we are sharing with our customers in short-form video.
What you'll do
- Pitch content ideas weekly — Reels, TikToks, Stories — built around our menu, kitchen, staff, and regulars
- Come into the restaurant 4 evenings a week to film 2 pieces per visit (8 pieces/week total)
- Edit footage into polished 15–60 second videos with captions, music, and on-screen text
- Deliver finished videos on a rolling every-other-day schedule — when you edit is up to you, as long as the delivery cadence holds
- Hand off the finished file caption hashtag draft. Our manager reviews, we verify, we post.
- Iterate fast based on feedback, trends, and what's performing
Schedule
- Filming: 4 weekdays/week, arriving 5:30pm, ~1.5–2 hrs on site (exact days confirmed with the kitchen — likely Mon–Thu to stay clear of Fri/Sat dinner rush)
- Editing: your schedule, your space — just hit the delivery windows
- Delivery rhythm: videos filmed on day 1 are delivered by end of day 3. No exceptions without a heads-up.
- Total time commitment: ~15 hrs/week
What we need
- A phone or camera that shoots clean 1080p video
- Editing skills in CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut — whatever gets the job done
- A real feel for short-form: hook in the first 2 seconds, tight pacing, captions that earn the tap
- Reliable transportation to Alpharetta for filming days
- Bonus: you speak Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, or Malayalam, or you grew up eating this food — you'll understand the brand faster
- Bonus: you already run your own content account and know what works
Logistics
- You own the ideas; we're not going to micromanage what you make
- Reports to the Manager
- This is PAID Role!
