Group Facilitator
Duties:
- Conduct group therapy sessions for individuals with various mental health conditions
- Facilitate discussions and activities to promote emotional healing and personal growth
- Provide crisis intervention and support to group members in distress
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Utilize evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and art therapy
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using medical terminology and ICD-10 coding
- Provide education and resources to group members regarding mental health conditions and coping strategies
- Address issues related to working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Support individuals with PTSD through specialized care techniques
Skills:
- Strong crisis intervention skills to effectively handle emergency situations
- Proficient in patient assessment and developing treatment plans based on individual needs
- Knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques for addressing maladaptive behaviors and thought patterns
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, providing appropriate support and accommodations
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes
- Ability to incorporate art therapy techniques into group sessions for enhanced emotional expression and healing
- Competence in providing chronic pain counseling to help individuals manage their pain effectively
- Proficient in medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
