Job Responsibilities:
- Assess resident health needs and report changes to the physician and family.
- Conduct brief meeting with nursing personnel ending their shift and beginning their shift.
- Carry-out orders from the attending physician.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by attending physician.
- Create and maintain resident charts, noting all pertinent information within the chart
- Assist with admission, discharge, or transfer of residents
- Prepares complaint/incident report forms regarding employees, residents, families, or physicians and submit all written reports to the Director of Nursing and Administrator
- Assist in performance evaluations of certain personnel
- Attend conferences, continuing education seminars, and in-services, either on-site or away from the facility.
Education and Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelors’ Degree in Nursing
- Currently registered by the State of Pennsylvania
- Previous experience in nursing, patient care
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Ability to work well in teams
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Ability to travel to various locations
