Laundry & Housekeeping Associate
Location: Samaritan Village
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 9a-5:30p
Job Summary
Country Manor is looking for a dependable Laundry & Housekeeping Associate to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. This role is responsible for laundering residents’ clothing and linens, keeping laundry areas organized, and assisting with general housekeeping as needed. If you enjoy hands-on work and making a difference in others’ daily lives, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do
Wash, dry, fold, iron, and return residents’ personal clothing and linens
Sort laundry by fabric type, color, and resident (no mixing between residents)
Keep laundry rooms clean, organized, and well-stocked
Operate washers, dryers, irons, and steamers safely and correctly
Monitor equipment, empty lint traps, and report maintenance issues
Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times
Communicate with residents and staff about laundry schedules and concerns
Assist with housekeeping duties in independent living, assisted living, common areas, and event clean-up as needed
Observe and report any resident concerns or changes to appropriate staff
What We’re Looking For
At least 1 year of related experience preferred
18 years of age or older
Able to read, speak, and understand English
Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
Comfortable working around residents in a senior living environment
Requirements
Clear DOJ/FBI background check
Negative TB test and drug screening
Health screening clearance
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
Regularly lift up to 25 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working in a laundry and housekeeping environment
Work Environment
Indoor setting with occasional exposure to heat, humidity, moving equipment, and cleaning chemicals
Moderate noise level
