Data Privacy Analyst

Samaritans Purse is seeking a Senior Data Privacy Analyst to strengthen our privacy program and ensure personal information is handled with care and integrity. From leading Privacy Impact Assessments to managing access requests and partnering with IT on data mapping, your work will support our mission to spread the Gospel by protecting the people and systems behind it.

A day in the life of a Senior Data Privacy Analyst:

In the role of Senior Data Privacy Analyst, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
• Lead and coordinate Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) across departments, identifying risks, documenting findings, and ensuring mitigations are in place
• Receive, process, and fulfill Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) in accordance with global privacy regulations; track and report related metrics
• Maintain and update Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) to ensure accurate documentation of personal data use across departments
• Collaborate with IT and departments to identify, classify, and map personal and sensitive data across systems
• Work closely with IT, Cybersecurity, and other teams to embed privacy by design and support technology reviews
• Assist with data breach response, including intake, investigation, documentation, containment, and resolution, in partnership with Legal and IT
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university, with a minimum of five years of experience in data privacy, data protection/governance, or risk and compliance roles; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience
• CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, or related privacy certifications strongly preferred
• CISA, CISSP, or other IT security certifications beneficial
• Masters degree or Juris Doctor (JD) beneficial, but not required
• Working knowledge of global privacy laws, regulations, and frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
• Familiarity with data privacy governance concepts and documentation
• Strong project management skills
• 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire

Travel Expectations: 40 days/annually; required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary
