Position Overview
Samaritan Plumbing is seeking a skilled, dependable, and customer-focused Senior Plumber to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an experienced plumbing professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship, diagnosing complex plumbing issues, and providing excellent service to residential and commercial customers.
The Senior Plumber will perform advanced plumbing repairs, installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and system upgrades across a variety of plumbing systems. This position requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, leadership in the field, and a commitment to completing work safely and correctly the first time.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlumbing Installation & Repair
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial plumbing systems
- Install, repair, and replace water lines, drain lines, sewer lines, and plumbing fixtures
- Perform repairs and installations for sinks, faucets, toilets, tubs, showers, disposals, and related fixtures
- Install and service water heaters, including diagnosing leaks, heating issues, and replacement needs
- Repair and install sump pumps, water pumps, and related equipment
- Perform pipe modifications, repiping, and plumbing system upgrades as needed
Drain & Sewer Services
- Diagnose drainage and sewer problems, including clogs, backups, and pipe failures
- Repair damaged drain and sewer systems
- Identify root intrusion, pipe deterioration, and blockage issues
- Recommend long-term solutions to prevent recurring problems
Water Quality & Conditioning
- Install and service water conditioning and filtration systems
- Diagnose hard water issues and recommend appropriate treatment solutions
- Educate customers on system operation and maintenance
Customer Service & Communication
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding findings, recommendations, and repair options
- Provide accurate estimates and explain repair or replacement options
- Maintain a professional appearance and respectful attitude while working in homes and businesses
- Ensure a positive customer experience from start to finish
Leadership & Team Support
- Mentor and assist junior plumbers or apprentices in best practices and troubleshooting
- Lead jobs when assigned and help ensure work is completed efficiently
- Maintain job site organization, cleanliness, and safety
- Coordinate with office staff and dispatch regarding schedules, materials, and job progress
Safety & Compliance
- Follow plumbing codes, safety standards, and company procedures
- Maintain proper documentation of work completed
- Operate tools, equipment, and service vehicles safely
- Ensure installations and repairs meet quality and code requirements
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of plumbing experience required
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing systems
- Ability to diagnose complex plumbing issues independently
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding environments
Preferred Experience
- Journeyman plumbing experience or equivalent field expertise
- Water heater installation and repair
- Sewer and drain diagnostics/repair
- Water softener or conditioning system experience
- Experience mentoring apprentices or junior technicians
- Service plumbing and customer-facing field experience
