Desktop Support Technicians provide hands-on technical support for staff across the healthcare facility, ensuring reliable access to the systems, devices, and applications required for daily operations. Desktop Support Technicians resolve user-submitted issues within assigned departments and external Samaritan locations; both via the ticketing system and by acting as a liaison for these departments and locations to forge strong communicative relationships and to best understand their unique technical needs.
The ideal candidate is someone who is primarily service-driven, proactive, loves to constantly learn, and thrives in a customer-facing, technical-focused role.
Qualifications:
An associates degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or;
A certification or equivalent, or;
1 year of experience in healthcare-related IT services, or;
2 years of experience in IT support.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills necessary to work with all levels of hospital employees and physician staff.
Complete knowledge of operational aspects of microcomputers to include operating systems (Microsoft Windows), a variety of office application software, and familiarity with available peripheral equipment.
Familiarity with Active Directory, remote assistance tools, and ticketing systems.
