Position summary: Clean and maintain all flooring, Carpet, VCT, Ceramic tile and vinyl using proper equipment and technique. Strip wax and buff floors as needed. Operate floor cleaning machines scrubbers, buffers and vacuums. Clean and sanitize hospital patient rooms, baths, restrooms, offices, halls, treatment rooms, and other areas as assigned. Position requires moving furniture for cleaning and restorative work. Housekeeper II is responsible for clearing snow and ice from strategic areas around the facility as needed during the night. Position supports clinical staff with certain tasks and provides for basic security and fire assistance.
Role qualifications:
Experience:
- Preferred hospital cleaning experience or commercial cleaning experience
Position responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize any and all environmental surfaces
* Maintain floor maintenance Carpet, VCT Ceramic, tile and upholstery cleaning schedules
* Keep work areas clean and organized
* Collect trash and soiled linens from pre-designated areas around facility
* Supply areas with essential paper and soap products
* Be aware and report equipment repairs and safety hazards
- Become familiar with and abide by hospital policies, procedures and codes
- Provide security and safety measures as necessary
- Provide basic support functions for other departments as requested
- Maintain clear and safe parking, sidewalk, and entrance areas during inclement weather
- Provide service and support to clinical and other staff and coworkers as needed
