What are the responsibilities and job description for the Central Sterilization Tech position at Samaritan Health?
Pay Range $18.51 - $28.70
The base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants.Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity and contracts.
- Experience in Central Sterile Supply or Operating Room preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of instrumentation, medical supplies and medical equipment preferred
- Ability to use steam and low temperature autoclaves and aeration cabinet
- BLS certification required within 3 months of hire
- Certification from the Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) required.
- Non-Certified Candidates will receive on-the-job training and training manuals in order to sit for the Sterile Tech certification within 18 months of hire.
Duties:
- Prepare pre-case carts for surgery
- Perform Bio testing
- Qualified candidate will memorize and have knowledge of operating room instruments and process of sterilization
- Sterilization of instruments at Samaritan's clinics and Nursing Facilities as well as Samaritan's hospital
