What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Coordinator position at Samaritan Counseling Center?

We are looking for someone with a great personality and experience as an Intake Coordinator to help with the organization and running of the daily administrative operations of the company. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional, able to undertake various office support tasks and Maintain Current Insurance Benefit Reference Information while working diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion and incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.

Responsibilities

  • Answering Phones and Greeting Clients
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to work with diverse people.
  • Creating and updating records to ensure accuracy and validity of information
  • Scheduling
  • Monitoring intake e-mail account for initial client appointment requests
  • Verifying accurate insurance eligibility and benefits via insurance websites or telephone
  • Responsible for obtaining all authorizations, if applicable
  • Completing tracking form with as much information as possible for clinician assignment.
  • Coordinating with Clinical Director on Clinician assignment for scheduling.
  • Responsible for obtaining all authorizations, if applicable.
  • Maintain current information in benefit and eligibility binder.
  • Collecting Session Fees

Skills ·

  • Graduation from high school. Associate or Bachelor degree preferred
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Medical background preferred.
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in other languages is beneficial- Not required
  • Working knowledge of office methods, procedures, and equipment
  • Ability to manage client intake, assessment, and referral procedures
  • Ability to deal professionally and effectively with the public
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Skilled in basic math and accounting, spelling and word processing
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.25 per hour
