Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pizza maker/ grill person to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and experience in the culinary field, particularly in pizza preparation. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Duties
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored, adhering to food handling guidelines.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and cutters.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and utensils.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff on pizza preparation techniques and kitchen protocols.
Skills
- Previous experience in the food industry or a restaurant setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or other point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on pizza making and food preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of food handling practices to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
