Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in a vibrant Mediterranean buffet ( Syrian, Lebanese, Greek) establishment. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional food quality, innovative menu offerings, and outstanding service. As the Head Chef, you will inspire creativity, uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene, and foster a collaborative environment that motivates your team to excel. Your leadership will be instrumental in elevating our dining experience and maintaining our reputation for excellence in fine dining and catering services.

Duties

  • Lead and manage all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to diverse dietary needs and preferences.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management to build a motivated and skilled team.
  • Oversee inventory control, procurement, and food cost management to optimize resources and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain rigorous hygiene standards across the kitchen.
  • Coordinate banquet, catering, and special event food production to deliver seamless service experiences.
  • Manage shift schedules, monitor kitchen workflows, and implement process improvements for efficiency.
  • Collaborate with restaurant management to align culinary operations with overall business goals.
  • Maintain high standards of food handling, serving, and hospitality to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in fine dining environments with strong knowledge of Mediterranean food ( Lebanese, Syrian, Greek or any other Arabic food)
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in Mediterranean or Middle Eastern cuisine
  • Design and execute authentic Mediterranean menu (shawarma, grills, rice, hot & cold mezze)
  • Strong knowledge of halal food preparation and standards
  • Extensive knowledge of dietary requirements and department-specific food production processes
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team toward shared goals.
  • Proficiency in menu planning, food preparation techniques, and kitchen management systems.
  • Experience in restaurant management or hospitality settings preferred.
  • Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations within the food industry.
  • Skilled in food service management, including shift coordination and customer service excellence.
