Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings
• Prepare food items efficiently, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation standards are maintained
• Operate POS systems to process sales accurately and quickly
• Manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity, providing correct change and balancing registers at shift end
• Upsell additional toppings, specialty items, or combo deals to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, including cleaning scoops, utensils, counters, and seating areas (bussing)
• Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure all food is prepared in a safe and hygienic manner
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks in the café or retail environment as needed
• Support team members during busy periods by managing multiple responsibilities efficiently
• Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by communicating effectively and supporting colleagues

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that engages guests
• Experience in food preparation, food handling, or food service environments such as quick service or fast food restaurants
• Proficiency with POS systems ; familiarity with cashiering procedures
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy in transactions and food prep
• Knowledge of upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while enhancing customer experience
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy
• Understanding of sanitation standards and food safety regulations within the food industry or grocery store environments
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift moderate loads, and work efficiently during busy hours

Pay: $11.50 - $25.00 per hour
