Position Summary:
Assist in providing care and program services to residents of Sam’s Place. Educate and facilitate independent living skills and social skills. Participate in and help residents to participate in activities of daily living. Assist residents with cleaning, transportation, and daily needs. Ensure safety of all residents and staff. No hands on personal cares required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide care and support to individuals with a variety of needs
- Administer medications according to prescribed guidelines
- Monitor and document individuals' health status and report any changes to the nurse
- Assist with meal preparation and clean up
- Engage individuals in recreational activities and promote social interaction
- Complete daily cleaning tasks as assigned
- Provide transportation for community outings and appointments

Experience / Qualifications:
- High School Education or GED
- Must Pass a criminal background study
- Must pass a drug screening
- regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- An understanding and sensitivity to the unique problems encountered by people experiencing homelessness, mental illness, and substance use disorder
- The ability to work well with people from diverse racial, cultural, social and economic backgrounds
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time Shifts: 7am-1:30pm or 2pm-7pm or 11am-7pm

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
