Deli Counter Sales Associate

Sam's Italian Deli & Market, A Specialty Food Market is seeking Full-Time team members for the following day shift positions Tuesday - Saturday between 8 am & 6:30 pm. CLOSED SUNDAYS and MONDAYS :

Position: Deli Clerk Sales Associate (Full-time positions available) Start $20 per hour plus tip sharing ($40k - $45K Year)

The ideal candidate will be a reliable, motivated self-starter who is a great communicator and a team player.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:* · *

• Assist customers with orders
• Make sandwiches and/or fulfill deli counter orders
• Slice deli meat and cheese according to customer specifications using commercial meat slicer
• Maintain deli counter display and stock food items
• Provide exceptional customer service experience
• Develop knowledge of deli counter products in order to assist customers

Skills and Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years experience at a fast-paced restaurant or food counter that required face-to-face interaction with customers
• Must be available to work Tuesday-Saturday between the hours 8:00AM-6:30PM. Scheduled hours vary.
• Must be able to operate a commercial meat slicer
• Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds

Required Certification: CA Food Handler's Card (required)
