What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender/FOH Manager position at Sam's Graces Cafe?
Busy Cafe in downtown Petoskey is currently hiring a Lead Bartender/Server. Morning and Afternoon shifts.
Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays, holidays and during peak season periods.
This position is for an individual who embraces the early morning hours and has the ability to exude a bright, energetic personality before sunrise. Shifts start as early as 7am.
Responsibilities include:
- Seating guests
- Taking orders
- Serving guests food and beverages including alcoholic beverages in a friendly and positive manner
- Preparing all cocktails, wine, beer and espresso bar drinks for servers
- Professional Table Side Wine Service
- Pre-Bussing
- Cleaning up after guests
- Washing and polishing glasses during and after shift
- Maintaining a clean, organized, sanitary environment at all times
- Daily inventory
- Closing and cleaning of cafe, bathrooms and bar area at the end of each shift
- Checking out servers at the end of the shift and overseeing the completion of daily closing procedures and side work
- Maintaining knowledge of food and wine/spirit menus
- Adhering to all Employee Policies without wavering
- Must be Tips certified in Alcohol service
This position is for an individual is able to observe and maintain proper professional, menu, wine and spirit knowledge amongst the service staff. Must have previous bar manager experience. Potential candidates must have the ability to maintain guest satisfaction, guest complaints, cleanliness, sanitation and order throughout the cafe.
