Position Summary...
What you'll do...
As a Principal Engineer within the Sams Tech - eCommerce you will be responsible to build highly performance eCommerce platforms and applications that will support our future growth in the retail space. You will get to be part of the journey that supports omni-channel shopping platform for millions of Sam's Club members as well contribute to operational efficiencies for our applications.
What you'll do:
This role will directly interface with Engineering leadership and will define the target state architecture for eCommerce Transactions. We are looking for visionaries who have deep experience in leading large scale engineering initiatives with a focus preferably in transactions and payment space
- Guide and shape the direction of overall technical strategy
- Develop and communicate clear technical vision and strategy that aligns with organization's business goals and objectives
- Build production scale systems that serve ads to millions of customers
- Build operational systems that enhances the productivity of our Transactions teams
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and solve complex problems
What you'll bring:
- 12 years of software development experience building distributed systems
- Experience in Technical Solutions Architecture and design leadership.
- Strong development background with Java (Spring MVC, Hibernate) and NodeJS.
- Experience working with Azure, strong knowledge of API design, security standards, practices, and architecture
- Cloud container development/orchestrations experience like Docker, CI/CD.
- Experience with NoSQL such as CouchBase, Cassandra, Mongo DB etc
- Experience building large scale distributed fault tolerant infrastructure.
- Monitoring/APM tools like Dynatrace, Prometheus, Azure AppInsights, Splunk.
- Experience with Reactive Java Programming will be a Big Plus
