What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at SAM Nutrition?

Primary Responsibilities:
- Checking for damaged goods
- Staying aware of possible hazards
- Maintaining forklift and other equipment
- Recording data about the products they are moving
- Comply with SAM Nutrition’s internal food safety policies, as well as Responsible Importer Guidelines.
- Comply with Food Safety Plan set forth by state, federal, and 3rd party (HACCP, FAMI-QS, SF/SF etc.) guidelines.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the warehouse
- Performs special projects (Reworking/repalletizing 50 LB bags)
- Obtain product knowledge on the material in the warehouse
- Responsible for performing weekly inventory counts
- Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places.
- Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
- Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Comes with a great attitude and a willing team player
Forklift Operator Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven Experience as Forklift Operator,
- Attention to Detail
- Familiarity with Industrial Equipment
- Excellent Physical Condition
- Ability to Lift 50lbs.
- Valid Forklift Certification
- Food/Feed Safety
- Inventory Control
- Reporting Skills
- Analyzing Information
- Equipment Maintenance
