Bachelors degree with a major in computer science or related field from an accredited institution. One-year relevant experience in related field. A combination of education, experience, certifications, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities can be considered.
Provides highly advanced technical work involving the design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the university enterprise systems and their related components; assessing gaps or errors in the technical infrastructure; and recommending, designing, and implementing technical solutions.
Acquisitions, installs and upgrades computer components and software. Provides routine automation and maintains security policies in conjunction with security office recommendations and state and federal regulations. Maintains core services to include e-mail, voicemail, printing, file sharing, authentication and access control, databases, video surveillance, disaster recovery, and storage systems. Processes service requests and tasks using the Information Technology ticketing system. Communicates effectively and timely with team members and clients. Serves as a member of project teams to build small (1 or 2 server) systems. Maintains small systems. Performs intro functions in Microsoft Configuration Manager andJAMFor other endpoint management system. Performs other related duties as assigned.
