Usual Duties
The Lecturer-Pool Faculty will teach undergraduate and/or graduate Athletic Training courses within the Department of Physician Assistant Studies and Athletic Training, dependent upon an applicants academic background, experience, and credentials. Pool faculty contracts are for one semester based on departmental needs but may be renewed based on performance and need. Departmental need is driven by student enrollment and internal workload commitments.
Preferred Ares of Expertise Include: Orthopedics, Rehabilitation, Performance Enhancement, Urgent and Emergent Care and/or Primary Care.
Degree Requirements
Masters degree in Athletic Training or Related Field of Study
Experience Requirements
Must have current state licensure and hold National Certification from the Board of Certification (BOC).*Please upload Athletic Training Texas State License and Athletic Training Certification from the Board of Certification under optional document - Teaching Portfolio.*
Preferred Qualifications:EMTInstructor Certification and/orEMTAdvanced Certification, Teaching experience, Experience teaching in aCAATEaccredited program, Experience as a Clinical Preceptor for aCAATEaccredited program.

A minimum of two hours of office hours are expected weekly during the academic term. Experience in online teaching and online training and certificates required for those who teach online courses..**
