Usual Duties
Primary teaching and research responsibilities will be in the discipline of Agribusiness with an emphasis in Agricultural Finance (Primary) Agricultural Law and Entrepreneurship (Secondary). Teaching of some graduate and online courses is expected. In addition, as a member of an interdisciplinary team, the successful candidate will advise undergraduate and graduate students, participate in outreach conferences and activities, and work closely with the agricultural community and industry stakeholders.
Serve as faculty member in the Agribusiness discipline. Seventy-five percent teaching, twenty-five percent research appointment with service activities required for promotion, merit pay increases, and tenure.
Nine months with additional summer teaching salary highly probable.
Degree Requirements
An earned Doctorate in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, or closely related field is required. Evidence of actual or potential success in teaching, research, service, and professionalism is expected. ABD candidates will be considered with evidence of successful completion by the start date.
Experience Requirements
Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language are required. Must have a strong commitment to undergraduate education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
