Educational and Experience Requirement
Associates degree in related field. Three years relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Nature & Purpose of Position
Performs advanced administrative assistant duties for the Department of Physician Assistant Studies and Athletic Training.
Primary Responsibilities
Performs advanced administrative assistant duties. Assists the Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) and Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) Clinical Coordinators with clinical rotation placement, prerequisite completion, and housing procurement. Tracks and maintains student progress records to ensure compliance with department requirements for matriculation and graduation requirements. Maintains accurate records of affiliation agreements and clinical affiliations. Manages institutional and departmental memberships and/or subscriptions. Maintains a filing system for faculty, staff, and student files, adhering to accreditation and university policies. Supervises student workers. Provides support for the Medical Director, Clinical, Didactic, and Admissions Coordinators as needed. Serves on hiring committees for staff. Plans and organizes departmental events as needed. Coordinates lab reservations. Maintains and orders department inventory of supplies, classroom supplies. Orders new student badges and white coat supplies. Oversees and recommend website edits, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and university policies. Provides support for faculty, including classroom supply support. Contacts IT for technical assistance. Coordinates, compiles, and evaluates data on admissions, enrollment, curriculum reports, etc.. Coordinates faculty, clinical council, and academic council meetings, maintaining department calendars, etc. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications
Requires a general knowledge of standard office functions. Requires good knowledge of procedures and practices. Must be able to use standard office software. Must be able to apply policies and procedures and solve routine problems of a repetitive nature. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
