Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in toddlers.
- Supervise and engage children during daily activities, including playtime, learning sessions, and rest periods.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and social skills among children.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive classroom environment that supports children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of children's activities, developmental progress, and any incidents or concerns.
- Lead classroom setup and organization to facilitate a stimulating learning environment conducive to toddler exploration and growth.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is essential.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills in a toddler or preschool environment.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices for early childhood education.
- Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred or required upon hiring.
- Background in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting involving young children is advantageous.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques tailored for toddlers.
