Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team, responsible for delivering high-quality painting services across various projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial painting, with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of color and construction practices. This role requires the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on construction sites, ensuring that all painting tasks are completed to the highest standards.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed.
- Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and airless paint spraying equipment.
- Estimate materials needed for jobs and manage inventory effectively.
- Perform plastering, caulking, and other surface preparation tasks prior to painting.
- Execute restoration and renovation projects with precision, including trim carpentry and fixture installation.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in various construction environments.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the duration of each project.
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential and commercial painting, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in color theory and an understanding of various painting techniques.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and basic math skills for material calculations.
- Experience in construction site environments with knowledge of safety protocols.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Skills in plastering, caulking, masonry, concrete finishing, welding, and maintenance person tasks are highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
