Job Summary:

The Corporate Giving Coordinator will support the development and execution of corporate fundraising initiatives, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships to generate revenue and enhance donor stewardship. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Giving, the Coordinator will help manage a portfolio of corporate partners, support donor cultivation and stewardship efforts, assist in employee engagement event execution, and contribute to strategic communications and reporting.  

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and relationship-builder who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has exceptional writing and organization skills, and is passionate about corporate social responsibility and nonprofit fundraising. 

This Position Is Responsible For:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate partners, identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding businesses to support Salvation Army Austin programs and initiatives.
  • Secure corporate sponsorships, employee engagement gifts, and partnership support for key initiatives, including our seasonal campaigns such as Christmas Program Angel Tree, Amplify Austin, and special fundraising events.
  • Coordinate corporate volunteer opportunities and engagement activities that deepen relationships and support donor stewardship.
  • Track corporate outreach, proposals, gifts, and engagement activity within internal systems to support fundraising goals and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Partnership & Stewardship (35%) 
    • Coordinate the planning, execution, and tracking of corporate giving campaigns, matching gift initiatives, cause-marketing partnerships, and sponsorship fulfillment—ensuring timely communication, deliverable management, and alignment with partner expectations. 
    • Identify and research prospective corporate donors, and assist in cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding relationships with partners aligned to the organization’s mission and values. 
    • Collaborate with the Director of Corporate Giving to evaluate fundraising strategies, recommend improvements, and help implement best practices. 
    • Maintain up-to-date CRM records and ensure timely logging of interactions, deliverables, and donor communications. 
    • Manage the fulfillment of sponsorship benefits by coordinating deliverables such as logo placement, acknowledgments, and visibility across communication channels-including email, social media, website, and event materials. 
    • Create and deliver presentations to corporate partners and prospective sponsors, articulating the impact and value of partnership opportunities. 
    • Manage a portfolio of corporate donors and prospects by developing and executing tailored communication and engagement strategies, including regular outreach, relationship-building activities, and targeted campaigns to enhance donor retention and increase support for partnerships. 
  • Donor Stewardship, Marketing Communications, & Employee Engagement (30%) 
    • Develop a variety of donor-facing marketing and communication materials—including sponsorship proposals, pitch decks, impact reports, thank-you letters, and recognition content—that highlight partnership value, success stories, and mission impact. 
    • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to ensure social media promotion of partnerships. 
    • Respond to inquiries from current and prospective corporate donors in a timely and professional manner. 
    • Collaborate closely with the Volunteer Specialist to ensure seamless activation and engagement for corporate events through assisting with logistics, communication, and on-site support. 
    • Serve as a frontline representative of the Corporate Giving team at events, presentations, and meetings. 
  • Administrative Support, Project Management, & Reporting (35%) 
    • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Corporate Giving team including scheduling, logistics coordination, deliverables, deadlines, document preparation, and Monday.com (project management). 
    • Assist with processing invoices, managing purchasing requests, and reconciling credit card statements by ensuring accurate documentation, timely submissions, and proper record-keeping for financial tracking. 
    • Ensure donor data accuracy and compliance by managing CRM/database records, supporting reporting processes, and tracking outcomes. 
    • Develop internal reports and dashboards to monitor fundraising performance and partnership progress. 
    • Serve as a liaison for other departments for other divisions or departments seeking information or services from the Corporate Giving Team. 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: 

  • Ability to meet attendance requirements. 
  • Ability to read, write and communicate the English language effectively. 
  • Ability to work under pressure of deadlines and time constraints.  
  • Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time. 
  • Duties are usually performed seated.  Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking. 
  • Work is usually performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment 
  • Skilled in writing and developing donor-facing materials (proposals, presentations, reports, etc.) 
  • Familiar with donor stewardship, corporate partnerships, and cause-marketing strategies 
  • Proficient in CRM systems (Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Able to maintain confidentiality, represent the organization professionally, and communicate effectively across internal and external stakeholders 

Education and Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management or a related field from an accredited college or university in a related field,  

And 

Two-three years’ experience in fundraising, corporate relations, sales, or nonprofit development. 

Or 

any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Knowledgeable about trends in corporate social responsibility (CSR), nonprofit fundraising and best practices.  

Certifications: 

Valid State Drivers License (Preferred)
