About this opportunity:
As a housekeeper, your role will be to perform a variety of housekeeping duties for a camp; cleaning restrooms, offices, and other camp facilities; washing, storing, and distributing linens; and ensures the neatness and cleanliness of the camp facilities daily.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; cleans sinks and toilets, polishes mirrors, and replenishes supplies.
- Sweeps, vacuums, mops, and waxes floors; sweeps sidewalks.
- Cleans windows, dusts, and polishes furniture and fixtures
- Support and participates enthusiastically as a team member in overall camp programming, special events, and evening activities, and other all-camp activities and camp functions as a part of a collaborative staff team.
- Model Christian values and integrate faith into daily interactions, camper programs, and camp life.

Must be at least 16 years old and a high school graduate or GED preferred.

A heart for others and a mind towards Christ.

Should be self-motivated and teachable.

Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

CPR & First Aid certified or capable of passing by June 15, 2026 (training provided by Camp Hoblitzelle during staff training if needed.)

A willingness to abide by The Salvation Army doctrinal statement and Camp Hoblitzelle’s policies.

Must be able to pass a state and federal background check.

Camp Staff Training will be held June 8 – June 14, 2026, and participation is required. The 2026 summer Camp program sessions will be held June 15 - July 26, 2026. If you are unable to work the entire season, please let us know on your application.
