Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Build and refine sales and reporting processes as part of continuous improvement efforts.
- Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients.
- Identifies and locates new clients through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls.
- Develops and implements strategies for sales in assigned region or industry.
- Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.
- Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
- Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
- Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepares contracts and submits orders.
- Collaborates with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency.
- Chart and deliver timely and accurate forecasting and pipeline management.
- Collaborate with internal Sales Operations and other stakeholders on reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate with Marketing to build and execute campaigns.
- Collaborate with other internal organizations and coordinate internal resources as needed.
- Encourage innovation by exchanging new ideas to improve operation and efficiency within sales and the supporting organizations.
- Ensure CRM tools and Salvagnini methodologies are leveraged to process and track opportunities.
- Identify and make recommendations for improvement in sales productivity.
- Possess a deep understanding of Salesforce, Excel, and other key customer data and business intelligence tools.
- Regularly report on individual results: pipeline, conversion rates, and quarterly performance.
Qualifications
- Territory Sales Management experience - with documented track record of success
- Sales experience in an inside-sales (individual contributor role).
- Previous Sales Management responsibility in a high technology sales environment.
- Sales Management Experience must have included performance management.
- MUST have previous experience using CRM and have proficiency with generating reports.
- Previous project / program management experience- resulting in driving operational efficiencies are imperative.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; strong verbal and written communications skills a must.
- Transparent style-and a willingness to appropriately explain difficult issues; ability to think quickly.
- Ability to excel in a fast growing/fast paced environment delivering accuracy while managing deadlines where adaptability is imperative.
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects and tasks.
- Sound business acumen.
- Previous experience accurately forecasting and reporting on territory /account activity.
- Ability to work independently in a structured, disciplined sales environment.
- Candidates should reside within or near the assigned territory and be able to travel regularly throughout the region to meet customer and business needs.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree-4-year College/University degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Field of Study: Engineering, Business Sales/Marketing, or similar.
- Formal training in consultative sales techniques; Experience with sales methodology and CRM solution is advantageous.
- Manufacturing Experience
