Join our dynamic retail team as a Sales Floor Associate and become the friendly face that helps customers find exactly what they need! In this lively role, you’ll engage with customers, who can be DIYers, contractors, and more! You'll provide information to customers, and demonstrate product knowledge with our on hand materials. Ensuring the sales floor is inviting and well-stocked, as well as assisting customers with loadouts are also involved in this role. Your energy and enthusiasm will drive sales, enhance customer experiences, and contribute to a vibrant store environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your sales skills, and develop long lasting relationships with local contractors, businesses, and more!

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries, ensuring a positive shopping experience
• Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately for retail sales transactions and handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision
• Assist customers with questions regarding measurements. These will include square footage, linear feet, and more
• Maintain well-organized shelves through stocking, merchandising, and inventory management
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and offering personalized recommendations
• Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone
• Support store operations by managing cash drawer handling, basic math calculations for transactions, and ensuring accurate retail math practices

Experience

• Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key!
• Knowledge and experience with building supplies and materials are required for this position
• Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve our diverse customer base effectively
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail store product knowledge will help you succeed
• Strong communication skills are essential for engaging customers and collaborating with team members
• Experience in merchandising, stock management, or product demos will give you an edge in creating an inviting sales floor environment
