Area Manager

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Manager to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights. The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of all strategic account projects across the metro area. This role includes managing a team of Project Managers, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Area Manager will serve as the secondary escalation point to the client, helping to grow the client relationship, solve complex issues, and ensure client satisfaction. The Area Manager will also be responsible for financial tracking and building processes to improve operational efficiencies. Travel to all metro sites is required.This job is located in Mt. Pleasant, WI.Responsibilities:Leadership & Team Management:Oversee a team of Project Managers, providing guidance, support, and mentorshipFoster a collaborative, results-driven team environment with an emphasis on professional growth and high-performance standardsConduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans as necessaryClient & Stakeholder Relations:Act as the secondary escalation point for clients, ensuring quick resolution of issues and effective communicationBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and promote business growthWork with clients to understand their needs, provide regular updates, and identify opportunities for service improvements or additional servicesProject & Operational Oversight:Ensure all projects are managed effectively, meeting client specifications, timelines, and budget requirementsMonitor progress of active projects, ensuring that Project Managers are adhering to schedules, budgets, and quality standardsSupport Project Managers in problem-solving and solutioning when challenges arise, ensuring minimal impact on project deliveryFinancial Tracking & Budget Oversight:Oversee the financial tracking of all projects, ensuring that budgets are maintained, and any variances are addressed promptlyPolicy Enforcement & QAQC:Ensure 100% adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and client-specific requirementsRegularly review and audit project performance for quality assurance and continuous improvement (QAQC).Provide guidance and support to Project Managers in enforcing policies and maintaining standards across all projectsEfficiency & Process Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements, both within the team and in the broader operational workflowsDevelop and implement solutions that improve project delivery times, reduce costs, and enhance overall service qualityRegularly communicate with the team to ensure alignment on new processes, improvements, and expectationsTraining & Development:Support onboarding, ongoing training, and development of Project Managers to ensure they have the necessary tools and skills to succeedConduct training on safety standards, policies, client expectations, and operational best practicesEnsure the team stays up to date on safety protocols and company initiativesTravel Requirements:Travel to Region sites as needed, which may total approximately 10 weeks per yearProfessional Experience / Qualifications:Leadership Experience: Proven experience in managing a team of Project Managers or similar roles, with a focus on achieving improved results, customer satisfaction, and project profitabilityClient Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and nurture client relationships. Experience in working directly with clients to resolve issues and identify opportunities for growthProject Management Expertise: In-depth knowledge of project management processes, financial tracking, and risk mitigationProblem-Solving & Solutioning: Strong ability to quickly identify problems and develop effective solutions in a fast-paced environmentFinancial Oversight: Experience in tracking budgets, managing project financials, and overseeing cost control measuresProcess Improvement & Efficiency Building: Proven track record of driving operational improvements and implementing processes that lead to increased efficiency and effectivenessTechnical Skills: Proficient in project management software and tools, with the ability to communicate technical requirements effectively to internal teams and clientsPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs. Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipmentAbility to stand for long periods of time in various work environmentsAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasksBasic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quicklyAbility to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.
