Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring a warm welcome.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and relay them to the kitchen staff.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and drinks to tables, maintaining attention to detail.
- Assist with meal preparation as needed, including basic cooking tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff on menu planning and catering events when necessary.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
- Uphold food handling standards to ensure safety and quality.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with culinary practices, including meal preparation and food handling techniques.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A passion for providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of menu planning or catering is a plus but not essential.
