Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Geotech Driller to execute Geotech drilling operations across diverse construction and utility projects. As a key member of our team, you will execute drilling activities, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate with various departments to deliver precise results efficiently. Your expertise in Truck mounnted and ATV rigs operation, construction utility work, and adherence to safety regulations will drive project success and uphold our commitment to excellence.
Duties
- Operate and supervise Geotech related drilling, drilling equipment, using track and truck mounted rigs, ensuring optimal performance and accurate sampling. Install instrumenation including soil and water observation intruments.
- Lead drilling operations for construction projects involving soil sampling, grading, and utility installation, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on all machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure compliance with equipment safety procedures.
- Coordinate with project managers, utility locating teams, and construction crews to plan and execute drilling schedules seamlessly.
- Adhere strictly to federal construction safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- Oversee the setup of construction sites for drilling activities, including site preparation and equipment positioning.
- Maintain detailed records of daily activity, drilling, and submit daily sheets for billing and recording purposes. , equipment usage, maintenance logs, safety inspections, and project progress reports.
Requirements
- Proven experience in operating geotech related drilling opereations, inmlcuding construction of roads, building, parks, tunnels, and utility work.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in commercial truck driving and water truck operation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations, OSHA standards, and equipment safety procedures.
- Ability to operate loaders, excavators, water trucks, and other heavy machinery confidently on construction sites.
- Knowledge of utility locating techniques essential for safe underground utility installation.
- Construction site experience with a focus on grading, excavation, and utility work in diverse environments.
