Overview

Salus Vehicle Solutions is seeking a highly organized, relationship-driven General Manager to lead our Covington, Georgia service center.


This is not a technician role, we're looking for a proven leader who can develop people, build strong customer relationships, oversee daily operations, coordinate workflow, create accountability, and help grow the business. While automotive experience is valuable, we are far more interested in your ability to lead a team, manage logistics, improve performance, and represent our company within the local community.

As a Center Manager, you will play a critical role in helping us achieve that mission.


Key Responsibilities

- Lead and Develop Your Team

  • Coach, mentor, and support technicians and staff.
  • Establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable.
  • Conduct regular performance conversations and employee development activities.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, communication, and continuous improvement.
  • Recognize achievements while addressing performance issues promptly and effectively.

- Manage Daily Operations

  • Oversee daily shop workflow and production.
  • Coordinate scheduling of technicians, equipment, and customer jobs.
  • Ensure work is completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Monitor productivity, turnaround times, and operational performance.
  • Identify and remove bottlenecks that impact service delivery.

- Build Customer Relationships

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for customers in your market.
  • Develop strong partnerships with body shops, collision centers, glass companies, dealerships, mechanical repair facilities, and fleet customers.
  • Conduct customer visits and maintain regular communication.
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
  • Position Salus as a trusted long-term partner.

- Drive Local Business Growth

  • Support business development initiatives within the territory.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen existing relationships.
  • Develop partnerships with new customers and prospects.
  • Collaborate with leadership and Account Development Specialists to support growth objectives.
  • Represent Salus professionally within the local community.

- Ensure Operational Excellence

  • Maintain compliance with company procedures and safety standards.
  • Monitor equipment, facility condition, and resource utilization.
  • Ensure accurate communication between customers, technicians, and leadership.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and contribute ideas for improvement.
  • Track key performance metrics and center performance goals.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • 3 years of verified leadership, management, or supervisory experience.
  • 3 years of experience within the automotive industry or a related service-based industry.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and hold teams accountable.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience coordinating schedules, workflow, and operational priorities.
  • Proficiency with computers, business software, and modern communication tools.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving history.
  • Ability to pass a background check.


Preferred Skills/Background

  • Experience managing an automotive repair, collision, dealership, or service operation.
  • Experience in customer relationship management, account development, or business development.
  • Familiarity with vehicle diagnostics, ADAS calibration, collision repair, or automotive service operations.
  • Experience working with KPIs, performance metrics, and operational reporting.
  • Experience with CRM and shop management software.
