Salud Para La Gente (SALUD) provides high quality, comprehensive and cost-effective healthcare to underserved low-income communities in the Monterey Bay area, including Santa Cruz County and North Monterey County. We began in Watsonville in 1978 as a storefront “free clinic”. With the ever growing need for health services, in 1992 we became a federally qualified community health center. Today we are a primary health care network with 11 clinic sites, over 400 employees, and continue to provide high quality services to patients of all ages.

We are seeking a dynamic, organized and detail-oriented OB/GYN to provide comprehensive preventive, diagnostic and treatment services for women who have a disease or disorder of the reproductive system; that offer regular medical examinations to ensure health and detect abnormalities; and which provide care for women during pregnancy, childbirth and the period immediately following childbirth.

SALARY & BENEFITS

Salary:  $321,301.82 - $354,764.80 (1 FTE)

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401(k), voluntary long term disability, holiday pay, 19 days of PTO per year and CE allowance. Reimbursement of medical license fees, CME and eligibility for the State Loan Reimbursement Program (SLRP) through HRSA.

· Full Scope Practice - outpatient clinic, surgical and labor and delivery

· 12 or 24 hour hospitalist shifts – in house 

· In house Anesthesia

· In house Pediatrics

· 60-90 deliveries per month (10% Kaiser, 90% Salud)

· Level II Nursery (generally all > 34 weeks)

· ER Consults - OR Team available as needed

· No students or residents

· Malpractice through FTCA and NorCAL

· Salud pays med staff fee and malpractice tail

· Employer is Salud Para La Gente; credentialing through both Salud and Watsonville Hospital

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid California OB/GYN Physician's license.
• Maintains an updated CPR certificate, valid California driver’s license, and a valid DEA license; submits copies of renewed licenses and certificates to Human Resources.
• Board certified or Board Qualified in OB/GYN practice.
• Fluent bilingual Spanish/English.
• Eligible for Physician's Assistant Supervisory license.
• Ability to obtain/maintain hospital admitting privileges at local hospital as required/indicated by Chief Medical Officer.
