Part-Time Retail Store Associate – Salty Herd
Location: Kittery, ME (in person)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19-$22/hour
Schedule: Must be available for evenings and weekends
Store Hours:
- Day, evening, and weekend availability required
- Store hours: Off Season 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM/Seasonal Hours 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Salty Herd is looking for friendly, reliable part-time Retail Store Associates to join our team. This role is centered around creating a warm, engaging customer experience while supporting daily store operations in a boutique retail environment focused on natural fiber products.
Responsibilities:
- Provide thoughtful, attentive customer service and assist shoppers with product selection
- Share product knowledge and help customers understand materials, craftsmanship, and brand story
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-presented sales floor
- Process transactions accurately using the POS system
- Restock merchandise and assist with basic inventory organization
- Support visual merchandising and overall store presentation
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment
Qualifications:
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
