What are the responsibilities and job description for the House Cleaner — Independent Contractor | 50/50 Split, Paid Weekly position at Salty Air Home Cleaning?
Summary
This is not a job. You would be an independent contractor running your own cleaning business. You set your own availability, use your own supplies and methods, and accept or decline every job we offer. We are not your employer — we are where your customers come from.
If you want a W-2, an hourly wage and a supervisor, this isn't it, and we'd rather you know now.

What we do for you
Salty Air Home Cleaning books residential cleans across Ponte Vedra Beach, Nocatee and St. Johns. We run the marketing, the website, the quoting, the scheduling and the payment collection. You clean.
Most of our work is weekly and bi-weekly recurring homes — the same addresses on your calendar, week after week. You are not hustling for one-off jobs, paying for ads, writing quotes at 9pm, or chasing anybody for money.
How pay works
A straight 50/50 on every job. You see the full customer price before you accept, and you keep half of it. Paid every week by direct deposit.
No fee to join. Nothing deducted for supplies. No percentage held back. No invoicing.
We carry the general liability insurance on the work — there's no policy for you to go buy before you can start.
Real jobs from our live pricing:
- Recurring 3 bed / 2 bath — 95 to you**
- That home's first visit, done as a deep clean — 142 to you**
- Recurring 4 bed / 3 bath — 127 to you**
- Move-out clean, 3 bed / 2 bath — 197 to you**
- Airbnb turnover, 3 bed — 70 to you**
A 3/2 recurring home is roughly a two-hour clean once you know the house. Do that math against what agencies around here pay per hour.
What we look for
- 2 years of residential cleaning experience — or show us on one paid trial clean
- Background check (you, and anyone who cleans with you)
- Your own supplies, equipment and reliable transportation
- A smartphone for job details and schedules
- Genuine pride in detail work — every clean gets rated by the customer
Solo cleaners and small teams both welcome. Plenty of our best partners work alone.
