Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager

About the Role


We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic engineering team dedicated to the design, development, and optimization of dip molding and dip coating equipment.


This role requires deep expertise in machine and equipment design, material handling automation, and robotics, combined with strong leadership and project management skills. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including material science, metallurgy, and thermodynamics, and excel in managing complex automation projects from concept through implementation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical engineers and technical professionals.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Allocate engineering resources effectively to achieve project goals and deadlines.


Engineering & Process Development

  • Oversee the design, development, and improvement of equipment, tools, and processes for dip molding and coating operations.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
  • Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.


Project Management

  • Manage multiple engineering projects from concept through completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk mitigation.
  • Partner cross-functionally with production, quality, and R&D teams to meet deliverables.
  • Provide technical leadership and problem-solving expertise for complex engineering challenges.


Innovation & Technology Advancement

  • Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, materials, and methods relevant to automation and mechanical design.
  • Drive innovation through the integration of robotics, material handling automation, and advanced manufacturing techniques.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies that enhance equipment performance and production capability.


Stakeholder & Client Engagement

  • Serve as a technical liaison to clients, suppliers, and internal leadership.
  • Communicate project updates, technical recommendations, and design justifications clearly and professionally.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required; Master’s degree (MSME) strongly preferred.
  • 15 years of mechanical engineering experience, with 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, including PDM Vault and Simulation modules.
  • Expertise in dip molding and dip coating equipment design highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of material science, metallurgy, and thermodynamics fundamentals.
  • Proven success managing automated machinery and robotics integration projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional and client collaboration.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all engineering practices.
