What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative - Manufacturing position at Saltera HR?
This is not a traditional customer service or call center role. The primary focus of this position is data entry, ERP job setup, document preparation, and supporting the manufacturing floor.
You’ll receive assignments and job information from the Engineering team, enter the information into JobBOSS, create the appropriate job and traveler, and print the documentation needed by Welders, Assemblers, and other production employees to complete the work.
This is a detail-oriented, behind-the-scenes role that helps keep jobs organized and moving through production.
What You’ll Do- Receive job assignments and documentation from the Engineering team
- Enter job and customer information accurately into JobBOSS ERP
- Create new jobs, work orders, and travelers in the system
- Review information for accuracy before releasing jobs to production
- Print travelers, work instructions, drawings, and other required production documentation
- Organize and distribute travelers to Welders, Assemblers, and other production personnel
- Make updates to jobs and documentation as engineering or production requirements change
- Maintain accurate records and ensure information in the ERP matches the paperwork
- Communicate with Engineering and Production when information is missing, unclear, or needs to be corrected
- Help track the flow of paperwork and documentation through the manufacturing process
- Support the production team with administrative and data-entry tasks as needed
- Maintain organized files and records for completed and active jobs
- Previous experience with data entry, order entry, administrative support, or manufacturing coordination
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working in an ERP system; JobBOSS experience is a plus
- Ability to enter information quickly and accurately
- Comfortable working with production paperwork, travelers, work orders, and engineering documentation
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with Engineering and Production teams
- Manufacturing experience is preferred, but we're open to candidates with strong administrative/data-entry experience who can learn the environment quickly
