Project Director – Complex Refurbishment & Fit‑Out Projects
Salter Grange has partnered with a nationwide, Tier 1 main contractor who are looking to recruit an exceptional Project Director to lead high‑value, complex projects from pre‑construction through delivery and handover.
This role requires a proven leader who thrives in challenging environments and can take full ownership of programme, commercial performance, quality and stakeholder confidence.
As Project Director, you will:
- Assume full accountability for projects from pre‑construction through delivery and handover
- Lead complex projects end‑to‑end, maintaining full accountability across the lifecycle from early planning to defect‑free handover
- Operate confidently across multiple workstreams, stakeholders and interfaces
- Shape pre‑construction strategy, influence client decision making and ensure projects are properly planned, resourced and derisked before site start
- Drive programme certainty, commercial control, safety leadership and quality excellence
- Build strong client relationships and set the tone for high‑performing project teams
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- Proven success in at least one of the specialist workstreams (heritage, custodial or CAT B fit‑out)
- End to end leadership of medium to high‑value, complex projects
- Strong pre‑construction capability, including design coordination and procurement strategy
- A track record of delivering safe, high‑quality, commercially successful projects
