Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm, making them feel valued and comfortable upon arrival
- Manage reservations efficiently using Open table
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant, wait times, or reservation details
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area to ensure a welcoming environment at all times
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to relay guest needs and seating updates promptly
- Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and accommodate seating preferences whenever possible
- Support guest relations by ensuring timely seating, managing waitlists accurately, and addressing concerns proactively
Experience
- Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a positive attitude above all!
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with guests, team members, and management
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency but training is provided if needed
- Experience in customer service roles within hospitality or hotel settings is a plus, demonstrating your ability to handle guest relations gracefully
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and guest services ensures professional interactions at all times
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor in busy moments
