A Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring our team has the necessary parts and tools to provide excellent service to our customers. The position involves receiving, unloading, and managing inventory, as well as maintaining warehouse organization for safety and efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As a Warehouse Associate, your responsibilities include general labor, warehouse maintenance, and the safe loading and unloading of parts using a pallet jack, hand truck, or forklift.
- Maintain excellent customer service for both internal and external customers.
- Load, unload, pick, put away, consolidate, stack, and stage products and materials using various equipment, such as a forklift or pallet jack.
- Follow specific work instructions and best practices to safely and accurately complete daily assignments, recording indirect time promptly.
- Record receipts and verify documentation.
- Support operational processes to ensure compliance with customer requirements and regulations.
- Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Inspect pallets or cases for quantities, items, brands, lot codes, damages, and follow instructions.
- Communicate problems, concerns, and ideas to management.
- Identify process improvements and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
- Assist in warehouse security and conduct operations safely.
- Participate in training programs and adhere to guidelines.
- Perform forklift duties and assist with various warehouse maintenance tasks.
- Drive trucks for material pick-up and delivery.
- Learn and follow proper end-of-day and lockup procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent required.
- Knowledge of and ability to operate a forklift, meeting medium-level physical exertion requirements, including frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Warehouse/distribution center experience.
- Basic math and reading skills for job tasks and paperwork.
- Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.
- Reliability, punctuality, safety-mindedness, and a strong work ethic.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
- Positive, helpful demeanor, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- No lifting restrictions and no fear of heights.
- Tolerance for high and low-temperature levels and occasional inclement driving conditions.
- Honest self-assessment of skills and capabilities.
- Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
- Clean driving record.
- Experience with Microsoft Office to include excel
- Experience with data entry
SCHEDULE:
- Availability to work Monday- Saturday anywhere between 7:00AM-6:30pm (these will be 5 days and week 8-hour shifts)
SALARY:
- Competitive salary ranging from $37,440 to $50,000 based on experience and knowledge.
