SRP's Public and Media Relations team, which is part of the Integrated Communications department, offers an exciting opportunity to gain firsthand media relations experience in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment with a team of seasoned professionals.
The student intern will work daily scheduled hours based on the department’s needs, with a minimum requirement of 15 hours and up to 26 hours per week maximum.
What You'll Do
Job responsibilities include creating the daily media coverage newsletter, developing key performance reports, supporting the creation of video and photo packages, pitching media opportunities and drafting media materials. This position also provides an opportunity to work with other teams within the Integrated Communications department and to network within SRP.
Skills
The ideal candidate will have strong writing, editing and organizational skills and an interest in communications or public relations.
Education
College level coursework (100 ) from an accredited institution will be evaluated on an individual basis according to the skill/level to determine if applicable to the position by management.
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
