Mobile Equipment Operator

Primary Job Function:

Perform cleanup, general labor and assist with maintenance and material handling duties. Must cross train in other areas of Production. This is a safety sensitive position.

Essential Requirements:

• Wear required safety equipment including but not limited to hardhats, safety glasses, safety harness, ear plugs, dust masks and gloves
• Able to lift up to 80 pounds
• Physically capable of climbing up and down, above, inside and under equipment
• Be able to perform repetitious arm, hand and leg motion
• Use shovel, pick or bar, rake and wheelbarrow
• Able to climb material piles up to 45 feet
• Work in confined areas
• Work long hours at times
• Handle various cleaning products
• Work in inclement weather when required or as assigned
• Required and predictable attendance
• Work various schedules including overtime, holidays, call outs and weekends as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience in the aggregates industry preferred
• Ability to operate mobile equipment
• Ability to cross-train
• Able to communicate clearly
• Possess steel toed shoes

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Know and follow company safety procedures and policies with or without supervision
• Follow Company policies and procedures
• Cross train from the crusher plants to the wash plants, including mobile equipment
• Satisfactorily complete the training requirements as set forth by Salt River Materials Group
• Follow daily checklist as outlined by supervisor
• Clean areas, dump materials, scrap or debris as directed by supervisor
• Unload or move materials as needed
• Dig ditches or excavations as directed
• Assist operating personnel by performing unskilled as well as skilled work as directed
• Work harmoniously with co-workers
• Maintain a positive, professional and cooperative attitude toward customers, truckers, vendors and co-workers
• Communicate clearly and professionally with all customers, vendors, truck drivers, co-workers and supervisors
• General landscaping such as weeding and pruning
• Perform janitorial duties, landscaping, cleanup and general labor to maintain a safe and productive work area

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
