Position Overview
The Pizza Quality Control Specialist plays a key role in maintaining Sal’s Pizza’s reputation for excellence by ensuring product quality, consistency, and brand standards across all locations. This role conducts on-site audits, evaluates food preparation and presentation, and partners with restaurant leaders to identify improvement opportunities that enhance the guest experience and protect the Sal’s brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular on-site evaluations of product quality, presentation, and adherence to brand standards.
- Partner with location managers to review audit results and support improvement plans.
- Monitor recipe accuracy, ingredient handling, and portion control to ensure consistency.
- Perform detailed product testing and sampling to verify compliance with quality expectations.
- Document findings, prepare reports, and communicate action plans to Operations leadership.
- Support the development and implementation of quality KPIs and tracking systems.
- Assist with training initiatives related to food quality and operational standards.
- Maintain a proactive presence in the field, fostering accountability and operational excellence.
- 2 years of experience in restaurant operations, quality control, or hospitality management.
- Strong knowledge of pizza preparation, ingredient handling, and food safety standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify and correct process deviations.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; comfortable coaching managers and teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and digital reporting tools.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to multiple locations weekly.
