Human Resources | Reports to: HR Director | Full-time, Non-exempt | Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm | Effective October 19, 2026
About the Role
Salon Service Group (SSG) is growing, and our people are the reason. As Recruiter, you will own the full hiring life cycle for SSG locations — from the first conversation with a hiring manager through a new hire’s first day. You will find, vet, and bring on talent across sales, retail, office, and management roles, and make sure every candidate has a great experience with SSG along the way.
What You’ll Do
- Open and manage requisitions. Post requisitions for open positions at SSG locations.
- Align with hiring managers. Partner with hiring managers to define candidate qualifications and agree on a hiring timeline.
- Source talent. Actively source and recruit candidates for sales, retail, office, and management positions.
- Screen and coordinate interviews. Screen and interview candidates to confirm their skills match the job, then schedule interviews with hiring managers for those who qualify.
- Own the candidate experience. Guide each candidate through recruiting, selection, onboarding, and introductions to the team.
- Onboard new hires. Onboard new hires, including I-9 verification and new hire paperwork.
- Coordinate with Payroll. Work closely with Payroll/HR on all new hires.
What You’ll Bring
- Recruiting experience: Experience sourcing candidates for all levels of an organization.
- Networking: Strong networking skills and the ability to build relationships with local organizations to strengthen recruiting efforts.
- Systems: Experience managing and maintaining an HRIS; experience with ADP WFN is a plus.
- Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, OneNote, and Teams.
- Communication: An effective communicator who builds relationships with employees at every level.
- Organization: Strong time management, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines and shift focus quickly.
- Attitude: Adaptable to change, with a positive, enthusiastic attitude toward new projects and initiatives.
Schedule
This is a full-time, non-exempt position working Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
