About the Role:
ŌDE is seeking a passionate and highly organized Director of Hospitality to lead the front-of-house experience and serve as a key ambassador of our brand. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a client-facing, fast-paced environment and is excited to shape a guest experience that feels personal, seamless, and elevated. From managing day-to-day front desk operations to anticipating client needs and supporting broader brand initiatives, the Director of Hospitality plays a vital role in ensuring every client encounter reflects the warmth, professionalism, and creativity that are at the heart of ŌDE. This role goes beyond the front desk — it's a chance to lead with hospitality, shape strategic growth, and help build something truly exceptional.
Responsibilities:
Front Desk Management: Oversee and manage all front desk operations, ensuring smooth and efficient client flow.
- Implement efficient booking procedures
- Answer phones, emails, and booking requests promptly and professionally to the ŌDE standard
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) system, process payments accurately, returns, gift card sales and billing inquiries
- Oversee scheduling to ensure client services are booked accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area and client facing areas (Lounge, Retail shelves, Client bathroom)
- Maintain a deep knowledge of all services and retail offerings to confidently educate and upsell clients
- Actively monitor and manage the waitlist daily, working to fill last-minute openings and maximize scheduling
- Take detailed client notes when necessary
Client Experience & Communication: We believe that the front desk is not just a point of contact-it is the command center of the entire guest experience and an opportunity to deliver client experiences that set ŌDE apart.
- Greet clients warmly and serve as their first and final point of contact
- Anticipate Guest needs and proactively address them, going above and beyond to ensure their satisfaction
- Build authentic relationships with clients to create and maintain loyalty, trust and a customized experience
- Suggest product recommendations
- Handle client inquires, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently, striving for resolution and silent satisfaction
Sales & Strategic Support: Create opportunities for income and brand advancement in ways that extend beyond our day to day hair service revenue
- Monitoring service flow ( clients running late/ stylists running late/early)
- Help identify and solve scheduling gaps, client patterns, or service bottlenecks
- Communicate clearly with stylists and leadership daily about scheduling changes
- Communicate with owners about client feedback and possible improvements
- Gather client feedback and utilize it to continuously enhance the overall guest experience
- Collaborate with the team to support promotions and seasonal initiatives
Inventory:Effective inventory management ensures the salon runs smoothly by maintaining product availability, reducing waste, and supporting consistent, high-quality service delivery.
- Manage retail inventory
- Ordering retail offerings, and checking in all deliveries
- Ensure retail shelves are stocked, clean, and merchandised beautifully
