Duties
- Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, updos, and special occasion styles
- Apply hair coloring techniques using advanced color theory principles to achieve desired results
- Install and maintain hair extensions
- Conduct scalp treatments
- Utilize salon software such as Gloss Genius for appointment scheduling, client records, and retail management
- Provide expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail sales upselling opportunities
- Maintain strict sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and work areas regularly
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and deliver personalized styling solutions
- Mentor junior team members in technical skills and customer service excellence
- Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, booking appointments, and handling payments
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience working in the beauty industry
- Proficiency in salon software
- Strong knowledge of hair coloring techniques, hair extensions, and hair styling trends
- Experience with sanitation protocols and maintaining a clean work environment
- Excellent communication skills for client consultation and team collaboration
- Ability to upsell retail products effectively while providing genuine recommendations
- Familiarity with store management practices including retail math and inventory control
- Passion for ongoing learning about new techniques in hair care, coloring, threading, and styling

Pay: $26.12 - $31.46 per hour
